Are Job Interviews Scary??

Okay, so I don't wish to confuse any of you but I wrote this like a few months ago (oops) and never finished it so heres my first half....

Hello.....
I haven't been on for a while so I thought I would do another catchup blog and let you know what i have been up to. I do plan to do a lot more blog posts and have ideas lined up for them including quite a lot of reviews!
So I have now finished my first year of A Levels so I have a few weeks to chillax!! hahaha So now I have time to do my blog, tidy and organise my room, find a job and a lot more.. Also i have some DIY's (or GIYs) but i need to come up with a clever name for the series first on my blog, thinking cap on!
I went for a job interview early this morning, no lie in for me (thats probably why I fell asleep when I got back). I didn't feel as nervous because I knew what to expect as I had already had my first interview a month or so ago. I got the job there but couldn't take it due to the travelling, gutted about it but was so uber excited when a company phoned me the other day to say I have made it through to interview stage! Now I just have to wait to hear the results... fingers crossed! For all of you first time job finding people that are going for their first interview, here are some tips and my thoughts on interviews. Now my first interview I was petrified, couldn't stop shivering and constantly got muddled with my words when asked a question. I got the job though hahah. Just a shame it wasn't for me. What did I wear to my first interview, it was more relaxed because I knew the employers family so I wore: black skinny jeans from Topshop, smart black loafer style shoes from Steve Madden and a blue cat shirt from River Island! wolla!! Right my tips from my second interview I had and what I wore:

  • I wore... My Steve Madden shoes again (because they are so cute and look smart), a houndstooth print tube skirt (one of the knee/midi length of course!), a blouse (from Primark years ago)
  • STAY RELAXED! Don't sit with your arms crossed and have your eyes avoiding the interviewer. Smile throughout and stay focused.
  • Be prepared! Know the company, know their work ethic, and most important know yourself and what you want out of the job. Although they might not ask you anything about the company it's always handy to know just incase.
  • Don't panic! Stay calm the days before the interview and just think of it as a casual chat about a job you want.

(Second half, woops ahaha)

I GOT THE JOB!!! I GOT THE JOB!!! I GOT THE JOB!!!

did i mention i got the job?!

I need to go out celebrating now... hmmmm where to go that is the question??

I have been working there for 3 months now and all is going well!
I have only ever had three job interviews in my life so far.
I know how incredibly hard it is to get a job when you are young with no experience but have faith because you will get their in the end, I handed in CV's and applications everywhere before i got my current job. Someone will end up getting back to you but be patient.

I have loved discussing this and trying to give my advice, I have so much more
so who knows... I might even blog again about Job Interviews and helpful tips.
I feel this is just a little insight to get you started and to tell you that there will be
a job for you out there.
                                                             Just don't give up!
                                                                       XOXO
