Marmite?

You are either going to love me or hate me for this post because it is on a fashion item that is compared to marmite. You either love it or hate it....

Creepers!

Personally i love my creepers and have had them for a couple of months now. Mine were from Mr Shoes ( mr_shoes.co.uk ), they were a gift from my Dad for my exam results. I picked them out in the store in Cambrdige where the staff were wonderful and told us everything we needed to know about different stores, postage on the website, etc. They were not like the usual group of people that you get in a shop that arent happy to serve you. Anyway, i first saw the in the store in Bury St Edmunds and feel deeply, madly in love. I was umming and arring on hther to get them because i didnt have much money and had seen other things previously. So i left it. When venturing into the cambridge store i spotted them again but by this time i had no money left, but i had to try them on anyway. I knew that i would buy them online as soon as i got some more wealth. Anyway much to my surprise i unwrapped them in August, the day i got my results.
Lets get down to the facts. These are a size 5 because i tried them on with thick socks (bad mistake) and finding that once i had worn them once were slipping and sliding slightly. Still comfortable to wear but next time i will ge a 4. I don't think they are particularly generous on the sizes but i'm always an awakward one. Now i'm pretty sure they were about £36.99 but for some reason on the website the ones that look like mine are £29.99.

They are a deep wine, plum colour with gun metal spikes on the back of the heel and front area in a horse shoe shape. Spikes are a big hit trend at the moment and it gives an extra edge to the creepers.
Yes, they did give me blisters the first time i put them on my feet and went shopping in them but now they are so comfortable, no blisters again from these.
I always get compliments on them wherever i am. I paired these with some denim shorts from Gap, a jack wills slouchy white T and my bowler hat from H&M and a woman on the train said i looked great! Also i get so many people asking me where they are from at college, people even think they are the official creepers!!
So the only down side is the sizing but that is mainly my fault, but apart from that i LOVE them. Need to wait and see how they cope in the snow but hopefully we will find out soon enough.

Where Have I Been...

... Trying out this seasons nail trends...
These are pretty much identical to the nails I am rocking at the moment. I used a base coat (as always) and Nails Inc. Victoria to create the tip. Then just finished it off with my Sally Hansen Insta Dri top coat. They look fresh, clean and grab peoples attention even though they are so simple.

... Visiting Liverpool....
A Lambanana!!! Of course I had to take a visit to Liverpool One and got a Pizza Hut. Having a craving for one right now, haha! Will definitely be re-visiting the lovely city of Liverpool (mainly for the shopping, shh).

...Catching up on The Vampire Diaries...
Currently addicted to it but really need to watch the first three seasons, oops! Started watching season four before any others, was it a good idea? Guess we will find out but will probably ask for the boxset for Christmas, thats soon! Maybe if i watched the others I would understand why Elena doesn't want to be with Damon, kind of awkward that she is with his brother though.

"Lets go... crazy, crazy, crazy 'til we see the sun." Can you guess what i am listening to right now....
I always listen to music when I need to focus but I always just end up dancing and singing to it like a mad hatter. Surprised I have survived this long but its slowly breaking free, how can you resist when Live While We're Young is playing. Haha!

Had my first ever Krispy Kreme donut on Tuesday! I had the glazed raspberry filled donut and it was amazing!! I see why so many people rave about them, if you have not tried one then it should be on everyones bucket list. Who actually makes bucket lists?

So, I have been doing other things like going college and doing my A-Level coursework. I guess a plus of being a student is the discounts!! Gosh, my student ID picture is so bad. This seems like a short blogpost but I felt I owed it to explain where I have been. Now you know I shall go, poet and i didn't know it!

XOXO

My First Review...

Belta Regular

Who needs to spend all day lying in the sun and going abroad when you've got this, right?
Right!

You may have seen this being sold with the August issue of Marie Claire, perfect timing for when you need a glow. The magazine is £3.70, bargain considering the freebie (full-size) is £14.39 (£12.39 in Superdrug right now!). As you can tell, I picked up both shades to really test them. I am fairly fair but not so pale that I struggle finding make-up. Both shades worked without me looking tangoed so I guess it doesn't matter on your skin shade, just the amount of glow and colour you want. Also how fast you want it.
I started off with the light|medium, oh boy did I notice a difference. I hadn't seen much sunlight for a while and suddenly I looked glowing and had colour to skin again! My mum noticed a difference straight away. I am probably making it sound more extreme than it actually was but it was good enough to get me hooked. I used it every time I had a shower and the colour built up... streak free and not orange! Major concern of mine.
Medium|Dark was next. WOW! My tan had doubled. Again streak free and the natural colour of tan, it was as if i had wasted my time sunbathing constantly everyday! I get too bored to do that.
Honestly I love this stuff so much that I am still using it (I don't think i will be able to stop!). I do get a few blobs of MEGA tan where I forgot to rub it in... oops! It happens round my ankles but that's completely my own fault. The smell is something you are probably wondering about. It smells sooo good when your applying it then a good 8 hours later you get a slight whiff of fake tan, the smell doesn't last long. To be honest I don't even notice now. The tan also lasts really well and fades naturally. It's easy to apply and takes about 8 hours for the colour to show (which i'm asleep for).
This product is not for the people that love the look of a mega dark tan, like you have been to Spain for six weeks. However it gives a bronzed goddess glow without too much effort. I will definitely be re-purchasing and it has become a summer essential!

From another Galaxy...

joeHand 2 FONT Trial version

I really like LOVE the galaxy print. I am not on about chocolate here because between me and you... I don't like chocolate! Anywho, galaxy print has been hitting the high street everywhere I look from Primark to Topshop. I have to admit I am slightly addicted to the print, its a healthy addiction... I promise.
Whilst i was away in Cambridge last week i stumbled across galaxy print everywhere and felt inspired. I couldn't wait to get creative on my nails but had to wait until i was home. I forgot to take any nail polish!!!
Now I am back home I had to do it (my french manicure had chipped.. ready for removal). I have fallen in love with this print and wanted to share my creation. Such a tiny canvas but exciting results.
Be sure to try this out and don't be fooled because it is easier than it looks.

Hi ...

The Only Exception

The Only Exception
This brown eyed girl has landed in blogging world.
Where has she been all this time? Deciding on a name. Haha, who knew it would be so hard.
For a long time I had been interested in blogging about things I love, fashion and beauty mainly.  So I thought there is no time like the present.
You are probably all wondering why i chose brown eyed girl (or maybe not). It was my mum who helped with the name, she always used to sing the song 'Brown Eyed Girl' to me when i was just a little baba. I thought its better than any of my suggestions which are too ridiculous to even mention.
I think that's all I have to say for now and I will end on a quote...  xoxo
